Hail and Farewell Nov-Dec 2009

A bunch of us sisters dressed up all in red, you might as well say we look like elves, not that I think we planned to dress up all in red or maybe we did, anyways we did a humanatarian service project for this Hail and Farewell and I'd say it went pretty good.

Kyle's last and final game

Kyle had his last and final game against Monterrey High and Coronado won by only 1 point, the score ended up being 21-20 it was a intense game as I heard they were down 20-0 in the first half and ended up coming back at the end of the game, Monterrey never scored a touchdown in the 2nd half. Misty (Kyle's girlfriend) also surprised Kyle by coming down for the weekend from Utah where she's at BYU and Kyle had no idea she was there until she walked in our front door and Kyle was speechless!!!! Monterrey is also where Misty went to high school in Lubbock. Anyways here he is as happy as can be with the family.

Yeah so our house as I'm not there is going under with a big update, Yipee!!! My mom sent these pictures to me and wow what a big change!!!

General Conference-Saturday Morning

I was actually able to go to all four sessions of Conference and did a full circle. First-Saturday morning-plaza, Saturday afternoon-terrance, Sunday Morning-Balcony, and then one of my room mates didn't want to go so I had her ticket and was on plaza again, two of them I got in by doing standby, It was so awesome though, I loved it.

So I went to the Relief Society broadcast which was awesome and I sat by some people who were visiting from Europe I believe and they had connections from one of the people there and were able to see Elder Russell M. Nelson and then took a picture of him and they had asked me if I wanted them to take a picture for me and I said no. Oh darn!!! Could have had a picture of Russell M. Nelson

Kyle called to Italy Milan!!!

I was on the phone last night with everyone in attendance waiting to see where Kyle would get called and would you know it, Italy Milan. What is so cool about it is that we already has a cousin from the herrick side serving there right now and then his brother is in Rome, twins. So excited for Kyle and am proud of him, he will be such a awesome missionary. Love you Ky!!!

Family History Surprise

So a little spiritual experience I had, I had went to the Family History library last Saturday and was just wanting to do something instead of sitting in my apartment all day so yea went to the library and first started zooming through films actually before that looking in the family history catalog on Family Search and looking for burials in Llandefalle, Wales and one of the senior elders who works in the library found me this book that had a index of burials of those who were there, but anyways as I said I started zooming through films for a couple of seconds and decided I wanted to look through this book that this elder had found for me. I thought of just looking for Bufton in it and well what did I find? I found Samuel Bufton, Catherine Bufton, and Mary Ann Bufton and to my surprise there was another child who I had no idea about named Maria Bufton who had passed away when she was only a year old and so I was quite excited that day and had the biggest grin on my face. But anyways I love the gospel and am glad Heavenly Father helped me to find them and of course our ancestors too.

The beanie that was redeemed

I took this picture of Elder Horlacher thinking it could scare one of the sisters that's been stalking him, not me!!! And all of the sisters have been trying to control this one sister. But anyways the beanie was redeemed due to Elder Horlacher wearing it, It didn't scare her she just laughed. The beanie belonged to a previous elder in the mission that she liked and she did not like the beanie until now.
